pan·dem·ic | \ pan-ˈde-mik (noun): an outbreak or product of sudden rapid spread, growth, or development.
The physical effects of COVID-19 are easy to see. In the past year, our global society has become fluent in diagnosing, treating, and vaccinating against this virus. But the mental and emotional impact of the pandemic is less visible...and in many cases, longer-lasting. Injustice. Depression. Trauma. Unresolved Grief. Anxiety. We are living through not just one pandemic, but many pandemicS.
The world is suffering from global trauma and crisis fatigue. Fortunately, the tide is turning. Coverage on news and social media has exposed long-held stigmas that not only need to be addressed but also require support in our church families. Many are finding the courage to take the first step and say, "I am needing help."
The need is great, but we can rise to it. InsideOut 2021 is for anyone who wants to join the discussion around current mental health issues, receive support and teaching on how to help others, or learn how to improve their own emotional well-being, from a biblical perspective.
This year's conference will take place online and is open to:
Training and licensed professional mental health clinicians
Those in full-time or part-time ministry
Church members
Adult lay leaders
Recovery group facilitators
At this online event, you will also have opportunities to connect with others on topics that interest you and have deeper discussions during our open breakout times.
